Joe Odogwu has over 30 years work experience in senior management position across organizations and sectors. He is at present the Managing Director of Gede Foundation. Gede Foundation provides services in Mental Health, WASH, OVC and HIV/AIDS in Nigeria. Joe  working career has taken him to Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (mortgage finance and banking), Arthur Young & Co (external audit internship), Uche Chigbo & Co ( NYSC), Olumide & Pase (Chartered Accountants), Ernst & Young (external auditing and accounting services),  Flash Airlines Ltd, (Nigeria and UK offices), Planned Parenthood Federation of Nigeria (National Auditor),  Society for Family Health (Deputy Managing Director, Chief Operating Officer and Chief financial Officer)  and  JOC Professional Services ( Principal consultant).

Joe is Fellow (FCA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. MSc Accounting and Finance (University of Northampton), MBA Banking and Finance, BSc Accounting and Higher National Diploma (Accountancy).

Joe have attended several courses in project management, budgeting, human resources, procurement, finance and management, including 3-month Training Course in Project Management and Evaluation (University of Exeter), Professional Management and Negotiation Skills (London School of Economics and Political Science), Advanced Spreadsheet for Business Applications (Lagos Business School), USAID Financial Management, Administrative Rules and Regulations (Washington DC), European Union Procurement Rules and Regulations for DFID grants (Population Services International, Washington DC), The Global Fund Project Management (Nigeria, Accra and the Hague), IFRS financial statement conversion, Budgetary Control (ICAN), Executive Tax Planning, (Lagos Business School) and Computerization of Accounting Systems (Nairobi).
