Background

The Nigeria TBHIV Reach Integration & Impact Project (N-THRIP) is designed to ensure a coordinated and intensive effort to scale up the prevention, identification, and treatment of HIV in both general and key populations in Anambra state. The focus will be on facility and community-based approaches to reach epidemic control, and in addition, ensure improvement in the coverage of pregnant women on ART as well as target KP and AGYW programs.

Hence, the integrated approach harnesses digital professionals’ expertise to develop IEC materials and radio content, targeting vulnerable groups and adolescents.  Aligned with this strategy, the IEC materials will be widely disseminated and shared across healthcare facilities and strategic locations within communities to enhance awareness.

To further amplify the message and encourage wider engagement, radio broadcasts will feature voice-over recordings. Meanwhile, our digital communications team will spark online conversations by creating engaging social media content, including animated visuals, to drive awareness and foster meaningful discussions across various social media platforms.

Key roles:

The services of the language expert consultant will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Review and edit content for linguistic accuracy, cultural sensitivity, and appropriateness
  • Collaborate with the digital expert to develop and design messaging that aligns with the target audience’s language and cultural preferences
  •  Provide language support for voiceover scripts and audio content
  •  Ensure consistency in language usage across all media platforms
  • Develop and maintain a glossary of key terms and phrases related to TB/HIV

Recruitments:

  • Degree in Linguistics (Igbo and English language), Language Studies, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in language consulting or a related role
  • Excellent knowledge of local languages and culture
  • Outstanding communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with TB/HIV awareness campaigns
  • Knowledge of multimedia content development
