Achieving Health Nigeria Initiative (AHNi) is an indigenous non-governmental organization that promotes socio-economic development by supporting a broad range of global health interventions, education and economic initiatives in Nigeria.
The Global Fund Grant Cycle (GC7) is to ensure a coordinated and intensive effort to scale up the prevention, identification, and treatment of HIV in both general and key populations in Anambra state. The focus will be on facility and community-based approaches to reach epidemic control, and in addition, ensure improvement in the coverage of pregnant women on ART as well as target KP and AGYW programs.
To strengthen our operations and interventions in the country, we are seeking qualified candidates for the following position:
ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR – PROGRAMS: The Associate Director-Programs is part of the state management team for GC7 in Anambra state. S/he reports to the STA-PCT/State Team Lead on the handling of project operations including budget, and overall program management in the State. S/he will support the State Team Lead to provide program oversight, design, planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of the interventions implemented by AHNi-GC7 and its partners in Anambra State. S/he is accountable for proper use of all resources entrusted to AHNi-GC7 and its partners, liaise with government stakeholders, implementing partners and other programs within the state for collaboration and synergy. Identify issues and risks related to program implementation in a timely manner and suggest appropriate program adjustments. Manage diverse teams in complex environments, and deliver results within agreed timelines, and ensure activities meet stated goals and reporting requirements. S/He is responsible for providing strong leadership, coordinate, monitor, track and report project progress and performances within the triple constraints of project implementation for enhanced output and outcome and consequent achievement of project goal and objectives in the State. Also, s/he will provide programmatic assistance to local partners in programming and integrated clinical services activities, build the capacity of Staff on national procedures and project management tools and techniques and guiding implementation in compliance with all requirements and prepare formal evaluation of assigned employees’ performance as scheduled and required.
