To strengthen our operations and interventions in the country, we are seeking qualified candidates for the following position:

ASSISTANT TECHNICAL OFFICER - PMTCT & PEDIATRICS: will be responsible for providing technical support to all HIV-related prevention, care and treatment activities for children, adolescents, pregnant and breastfeeding women. S/he will support interventions related to integrated services for triple elimination of HIV, Hepatitis and Syphilis among pregnant women, retention and early infant diagnosis. The successful candidate will provide technical support to ensure facilities provide integrated and holistic PMTCT and Pediatrics care and treatment, provide support for quality pediatric HIV care including diagnosis and management of Opportunistic Infections, ARV Optimization, and monitoring children on ART for drug resistance. The ATO will also coordinate facility and community level strategies to ensure tracking mother baby pairs, and adherence and retention activities for children on ART and provide technical support in viral load testing, monitoring and coverage for children on ART as well as pregnant and breastfeeding women.

Minimum Recruitment Standard:

  • Medical Degree (MD, MBBS, Nursing, Public Health), with 2-3 years of proven experience in implementation of PMTCT programs.
  • Master of Public Health (MPH) is an added advantage.
  • Experience in providing mentorship and training.
  • Self-motivated and demonstrated success in building effective programs in resource-limited settings.
  • Extensive clinical experience in care of HIV infected adults, pregnant and breastfeeding women in resource limited settings.

To strengthen our operations and interventions in the country, we are seeking qualified candidates for the following position:

TECHNICAL ASSISTANT-PEDIATRIC HIV & PMTCT: will engage directly with GoN staff and the field teams to drive implementation of prevention, care, and treatment activities within the confines of Enhanced Site Management at the facility and community level with focus on optimizing pediatric HIV care and PMTCT services. The successful candidate will provide technical assistance visits to all supported facilities across the State providing mentorship/supervision to concerned health workers on pediatric ART and PMTCT/RH activities, thereby building their capacity for quality care delivery in the above-mentioned thematic areas. Provide technical and programmatic support to implement high-quality pediatric ART and PMTCT services in line with the national treatment guidelines and international best practices, and work towards achieving program targets for supported facilities, conduct site mentorship of Clinical Associates on PMTCT, pediatric ART, TB/HIV in comprehensive sites where their services are rendered and participate in programmatic designs of activities / projects related to clinical management of pediatric HIV/AIDS, PMTCT, RH/FP, TB-HIV, and integrated medical services with full participation in work plan development and generation of memos and budgets for these activities.

Minimum Recruitment Standard:

  • MB.BS/MD/PHD or similar degree with 5 to 7 years relevant experience with at least 5 years progressive experience working in the health or development field in Nigeria.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in care and treatment for HIV/AIDS especially with ARV program.
  • Possession of an MPH or post graduate degree in a related field is required.
  • Proven experience in project development, planning and facilitating technical training.
  • Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health system and NGOs and CBOs is highly desirable.

SENIOR TECHNICAL OFFICER-M&E: will provide technical assistance on robust M&E systems to ensure reporting of quality data that accurately reflect project performance. S/he will be responsible for supporting coordinating data collection, collation, data quality assurance, data entry reporting and data analytics. S/he will work with the head office and state-level M&E staff and government counterparts to provide support and guidance on program/project monitoring and evaluation activities. S/he will support the development of quality management system, including supporting appropriate data analysis and reporting, produce high quality analysis products on a regular basis for the monitoring and evaluation of the project and ensure that the quality of program/project monitoring and evaluation in the facilities/sites is of international standard by supporting the development and implementation of appropriate mechanisms and tools to ensure quality. The STO-M&E will also monitor and support the state M&E teams, assisting them in the performance of all their local M&E activities, provide relevant technical guidance and assistance to state M&E Officers, other departments within the program, partner organizations and GON M&E counterparts. S/he will build capacity of national and local partners including sub recipients in the use of project monitoring and evaluation data to modify existing programs and design new ones. S/he will develop, review and ensure the correct implementation of the national M&E plan, ensuring that M&E strategies are implemented according to plan and contribute to the design and technical development of monitoring and evaluation initiatives at national and state level.

Minimum Recruitment Standard:

  • MBBS/MD/PHD or similar degree with 3 to 5 years relevant experience in project-level or state/national-level monitoring and evaluation system implementation for Global Health Initiatives.
  • Or MPH or MS/MA in relevant degree with 5 to 7 years relevant experience in project-level or state/national-level monitoring and evaluation system implementation for Global Health Initiatives.

AHNi is seeking experienced and highly skilled consultants to develop proposals for anticipated USAID funding opportunities, including:

Deliverables:

Deliverable 1: Pre-proposal facilitation

  1. Develop and monitor a proposal development plan.
    1. Facilitate pre-proposal development workshops and co-creation meetings, with expert networks and potential partners.
    1. Provide detailed and clear synopsis of NOFOs and RFAs.
    1. Conduct comprehensive research, needs assessment, and situation analysis of the respective sector and intervention areas, including current trends, challenges, and best practices.

Deliverable 2: Proposal development

  1. Compile inputs from AHNi staff, expert networks and potential partners and combine into donor specified template.
    1. Draft proposal narrative and/or budget for review based on guidance from RFP and AHNi.
    1. Draft supporting materials, such as slide decks or written summaries, for meetings with potential partners & donors.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience developing project proposals in one or more of the above referenced sectors: RMNCAH+N, WASH, Shelter, Livelihood, Agriculture, Education, and Gender.
  • Proven track record of successful proposal development and securing funding from reputable donors.
  • Familiarity with international development frameworks, policies, and guidelines related to the respective sectors.
  • Proficiency in designing logical frameworks, results frameworks, monitoring and evaluation plans, developing workplans, and budgets.
  • Knowledge of gender mainstreaming and social inclusion concepts within development programs.
  • Experience working in multicultural and diverse teams.

SENIOR TECHNICAL OFFICER – PSM & LOGISTICS: will work to provide technical leadership in the planning, implementing, and monitoring of procurement and supply chain management activities at the state level in the project. S/he will contribute to providing technical assistance and coordination to implementing health facilities within the state to promote commodity security. S/he will provide technical support and leadership to Nigeria’s efforts to strengthen the supply chain process of health commodities, using the LMIS supply chain management information system, to reduce stock-outs, lower costs and eliminate wastage. The STO-PSML will coordinate the Logistics Management Information System at GF-supported health facilities by ensuring collation, validation, prompt and timely submission of CRRFs by the Health Facilities to the stakeholders, coordinate the generation and validation of the last mile distribution (LMD) orders in collaboration with the state LMCU and ensure that same are submitted to the service providers for resupply to the health facilities. S/he will also coordinate the activities of the Technical Officers in the state to ensure continuous availability of health commodities for uninterrupted service delivery, promote transparency and accountability in the management of health commodities by ensuring best practices in storage and inventory management at GF supported health facilities and collaborate with partners and relevant stakeholders at all levels to implement strategies aimed at sustaining the availability of health commodities and improving service delivery at the health facilities.

The Global Fund Grant Cycle (GC7) is to ensure a coordinated and intensive effort to scale up the prevention, identification, and treatment of HIV in both general and key populations in Anambra state. The focus will be on facility and community-based approaches to reach epidemic control, and in addition, ensure improvement in the coverage of pregnant women on ART as well as target KP and AGYW programs.

To strengthen our operations and interventions in the country, we are seeking qualified candidates for the following position:

PROJECT DRIVER: Will provide a variety of transportation support to the project. He will convey project Staff and Consultants to designated approved locations, ensure adequate safety, cleanliness, security and maintenance of the project vehicle assigned, ensure proper day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle through timely minor repairs, arrangements for major repairs, timely changes of oil, check of tires, brakes, car washing, etc. Ensure availability of all the required documents/supplies including vehicle insurance, vehicle logs, office directory, and necessary spare parts. Plan route and requirements by studying schedule or ad-hoc request by the office. Ensure passengers adhere to all road safety regulations.

Minimum Recruitment Standard:

  • Secondary school leaving certificates, apprentice certificate or any other equivalent certificates with a minimum of 5-6 years’ experience.
  • Must have a Trade Test Certificate and a valid Driving License.
  • Must have expert knowledge of driving rules and regulations.

S/He will coordinate the effective implementation of Cervical Cancer prevention program in the State, increase the awareness of CaCx to high-risk individuals in the facility and community. Manage the state office’s reporting cycle to ensure high quality and complete datasets are sent to the country office on a periodic basis, or when required. On a monthly basis, ensure that high quality analyzed facility-level data is disseminated to relevant staff at facilities and decision-makers. Ensure that data is used to highlight important programmatic gaps and coordinate with facility management and other departments in addressing these gaps. Coordinate regular data quality assessments undertaken in a participatory manner with facility staff and ensure the completeness, consistency and validity of routine data.

Minimum Recruitment Standard:

  • BS/BA in statistics, pharmacy or microbiology with 5 to 7 years relevant experience in project-level or state/national-level monitoring and evaluation system implementation for Global Health Initiatives.
  • MB.BS/MD/PHD or similar degree with 3 to 5 years relevant experience in project-level or state/national-level monitoring and evaluation system implementation for Global Health Initiatives.
