Background<\/h1>
The Nigeria TBHIV Reach Integration & Impact Project (N-THRIP) is designed to ensure a coordinated and intensive effort to scale up the prevention, identification, and treatment of HIV in both general and key populations in Anambra state. The focus will be on facility and community-based approaches to reach epidemic control, and in addition, ensure improvement in the coverage of pregnant women on ART as well as target KP and AGYW programs.<\/a><\/p>
Hence, the consultant will support PMTCT interventions at the facilities, and alternate settings in collaboration with other GF sub-recipients. The consultant will also ensure HTS optimization for PBFW across non-ESM facilities, retention support and linkage of all IEH to services<\/p>
Key roles<\/u><\/strong>:<\/p>
The services of the consultant will include but not limited to the following:<\/p>
Support the implementation of PMTCT programs, ensuring that services are accurately integrated into maternal and child health services.<\/li>\n\n
Provide guidance to healthcare providers and program staff on PMTCT protocols, including HIV testing, antiretroviral therapy (ART) initiation, and early infant diagnosis.<\/li>\n\n
Optimize HTS for pregnant and breastfeeding women at ANC, L&D, post-natal clinics.<\/li>\n\n
Collaborate with NEPWHAN and other GF SRs to ensure linkage of HIV positive PBFW to treatment facilities.<\/li>\n\n
Support uptake of early infant diagnosis for infants exposed to HIV (IEH) across health facilities in the state.<\/li>\n\n
Develop comprehensive reports on PMTCT program performance, highlight successes, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement to stakeholders and donors.<\/li><\/ul>
Recruitment<\/u><\/strong>s:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>
Medical Degree (MBBS, bachelor\u2019s degree in nursing or public health), with 2-3 years of proven experience in implementation of HIV programs.<\/a><\/li>\n\n
Possession of a post graduate degree in a related field is an added advantage.<\/li>\n\n
In-depth clinical experience in care of HIV infected adults, pregnant and breastfeeding women in resource limited setting<\/li>\n\n
Excellent ability to communicate and maintain productive relations with the team; resourcefulness, flexibility, and ability to work in a fast changing and challenging environment.<\/li>\n\n
Ability to use key computing applications e g MS Office Suite etc and knowledge of different databases (DHIS or NMRS) is a plus.<\/li><\/ul>
