Achieving Health Nigeria Initiative (AHNi) is an indigenous non-governmental organization that promotes socio-economic development by supporting a broad range of global health interventions, education and economic initiatives in Nigeria. AHNi is an allied organization to Family Health International (FHI360) with co-existing and mutually supportive interest in advancing the collective goals of the people and communities served. AHNi currently has its headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria.
AHNi in partnership with FHI 360, will implement the Strengthening Humanitarian Assistance and Resilience to Affected Populations, an NHF-funded project, in Ngala and Banki-Bama LGAs, Borno state. The project will implement WASH and Nutrition sector activities in the named locations. The project will complement ongoing multi-sectoral interventions in Ngala to address prevailing needs in the targeted locations.
To this regard, we are seeking qualified candidates for the following positions:
TECHNICAL OFFICER-LIAISON: Will be responsible for providing oversight, coordination, monitoring and reporting of the response project activities. S/he will coordinate implementation of planned activities with AHNi WASH and Nutrition Sector Leads. S/he will manage field site staff, support in project start-up and ongoing project management and administration of activities including beneficiary/community identification, refugees screening, site mapping, planning, and implementing of all sector activities, working with partners and facilitating monitoring. Also, s/he will coordinate implementation of planned activities with AHNi WASH and Nutrition Sector Leads, work with Nutrition and WASH sectors both in the field and Maiduguri, support tender procedures for procurement of WASH infrastructure and support the community mobilization of nutrition activities, establish and strengthen the referral pathways between the community and the facility and ensure efficient stock management of nutrition commodities and make timely requisitions of essential nutrition commodities such as therapeutic milk, and RUTF to avoid stock out.
