Achieving Health Nigeria Initiative (AHNi) is an indigenous non-governmental organization that promotes socio-economic development by supporting a broad range of global health interventions, education, and economic initiatives in Nigeria. AHNi is an allied organization to Family Health International (FHI360) with co-existing and mutually supportive interest in advancing the collective goals of the people and communities served. AHNi currently has its headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria.

To strengthen our operations and interventions in the country, we are seeking qualified candidates for the following positions:

SNT Case Managers: DIC Case Managers at the Drop-in Centers will facilitate service uptake, linkage, and retention for KPs Living with (KPLHIV) as well as HTS uptake. SNT Case Managers will also track defaulting clients and bring them back to care.  The role holder will also elicit and document PNS and SNT of all HIV-positive index KPs and ensure HIV testing services are provided for all eligible contacts of index clients as well as ensure enrolment and initiation of ART for all positive contacts of index clients. In liaison with the adherence counselor, ensure regular monitoring of treatment adherence, community tracking of defaulters / lost to follow up clients and facilitate their return to care among other duties.

Minimum Recruitment Standard: To perform the job successfully, candidate should demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Basic Knowledge of HIV and AIDS epidemiology and complications.
  • Proficient HIV Testing and Counseling Skills.
  • Knowledge of National HIV Testing Algorithm.
  • Team player with good interpersonal relationships and tolerance to socio-cultural differences.
  •  Efficient and effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task effectively and adhere to timelines.
  • Ability to follow instructions provided in verbal or written format.

Criteria for selection:

  • Literate in both English language and local dialect.
  • Resident in the State/LGA/communities where the community outreach team is based.
  • Must be a Key Population Member
  • Qualification: SSCE/ OND, HND, RN, BSC, and BA
