Achieving Health Nigeria Initiative (AHNi) is an indigenous non-governmental organization that promotes socio-economic development by supporting a broad range of global health interventions, education and economic initiatives in Nigeria. AHNi is an allied organization to Family Health International (FHI360) with co-existing and mutually supportive interest in advancing the collective goals of the people and communities served. AHNi currently has its headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria. To strengthen our operations and interventions in the country, we are seeking qualified candidates for the following positions:
SECURITY MANAGER: Will develop and coordinate the implementation of the project’s security plan, monitor and control the safety and security of Staff and assets of AHNi. S/He will help to improve contextual analysis, support operational management and strengthen the security capacities of the project and supervise the Security Coordinator and Officer. S/He will collect and analyze all security information, carry out a thorough analysis of the security situation in the current and potential areas of intervention and provide periodic update to Management. Also, s/he will convene and participate in the review of security procedures for the project/organization, ensuring that the elements of the contingency plan are updated and support the admin/logistics department in monitoring movements. The successful Candidate will develop and establish an effective and functioning communications system for security management within AHNi that is fully integrated into the UN Emergency Communications System. S/He will identify, capture, synthesize and share lessons learned for knowledge development and build the capacity of staff and stakeholders as well as develop capacity-building initiatives to enhance the competencies of Staff/stakeholders on security-related preparedness and operations.
