Achieving Health Nigeria Initiative (AHNi) is an indigenous non-governmental organization that promotes socio-economic development by supporting a broad range of global health interventions, education and economic initiatives in Nigeria. AHNi is an allied organization to Family Health International (FHI360) with co-existing and mutually supportive interest in advancing the collective goals of the people and communities served. AHNi currently has its headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria.
To strengthen our operations and interventions in the country, we are seeking qualified candidates for the following positions:
FINANCE & ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT: will be responsible for the provision of accounting, administrative, and logistical support services to AHNi HQ as well as to the State Offices. He/she will prepare monthly financial report forms which accompany executed sub-awardee project documents and attend to all administrative functions in the Finance unit. The F&AA will assist in preparing monthly reporting/budgets data entry into excel spreadsheets and automated MIS reports and disseminate information to AHNi State offices/HQ. He/she will support the accountant in ensuring accurate keeping of all books of account for the project, including checking account, equipment and supply registers and all accounting records. Maintain appropriate filing system in finance unit, prepare monthly and annual financial reports, including financial status of subprojects account with accompanying bank documentation and receipts. Also, he/she will assist in monitoring activity budgets and work plan in accordance with GF approved work plan activities, support with routing of relevant grant documents for reviews/approvals e.g., activity memos, SFRs and monthly Fund Request etc., maintain various assigned trackers, assist with processing of cash advances, retirements, petty cash management and refunds made in favor of AHNI HQ Office and support the Accountant in preparing project budgets and work plan and enter same into AHNI’s accounting software.
